SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 27-08     RE: REMINDER -- APRIL 8 MEETING OF THE MUNICIPAL SECURITIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND AGENDA

 

As we previously informed you, a meeting of the Municipal Securities Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., 12th Floor, Washington, DC.  The meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time in the David Silver Conference Room.  The meeting agenda is attached.

 

Andrew “Buddy” Donohue, Director, Robert Plaze, Associate Director, and Jennifer McHugh, Senior Advisor to the Director, of the SEC’s Division of Investment Management, will attend the meeting to discuss, among other things, developments in the credit markets affecting municipal securities.  Given these developments in this area, please make every effort to send a representative from your firm to the meeting.  We anticipate that the meeting will conclude no later than 2:30 p.m.
