TO: BROKER/DEALER ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 8-08 RE: BDAC MEETING NOTICE - APRIL 30 - MAY 1, 2008
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on Wednesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the offices of Franklin Templeton Investments located at 140 Fountain Parkway, St. Petersburg, FL 33716. Franklin Templeton Investments is approximately 14 miles (22 minutes estimated driving time) from Tampa International Airport and less than a mile from the Hilton Carillon Park. The meetings will take place in the 140/1B Conference Room, which is located on the first floor. Parking is available in the lot surrounding the building. On Wednesday, April 30, lunch will be served at 12:00 noon, the meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. On Thursday, May 1, the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Continental breakfast will be provided beginning at 8:15 a.m., lunch will be served at noon, and the meeting is expected to end at 2:00 p.m. Attire for the meetings is business casual.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park located at 950 Lake Carillon Drive, St. Petersburg, Florida 33716 for the evenings of April 29th and 30th at a rate of $170.00 per night. To make reservations, please call the hotel at (727) 540-0050 and indicate that you are an Investment Company Institute meeting attendee. Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited. All reservations must be guaranteed by April 1, 2008 to receive the block room rate. Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid penalty. The Hilton also offers its guests free shuttle service to and from the Tampa Airport as long as you schedule pick-up/drop off times with the front desk at the hotel in advance of your arrival/departure.
The Committee dinner will be held on the evening of Wednesday, April 30th at Café Ponte located at 13505 Icot Boulevard, Clearwater, FL 33760 (727/538-5768). The restaurant is 3.6 miles or approximately a 15-minute drive from the Hilton Carillon Park. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will follow at 7:30 p.m. There will be a cost of $85.00 for the dinner, which you will pay via Cvent at the time that you register for the dinner. Attire for the dinner is business casual.
