PENSION OPERATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 1-08     RE: REMINDER--JOINT PENSION AND PENSION OPERATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING, FEBRUARY 12; SPEAKERS CONFIRMED

 

The joint meeting of the Pension and Pension Operations Advisory Committees is scheduled for Tuesday, February 12, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time.  The meeting will take place in the David Silver Conference Room at the Institute’s offices located at 1401 H Street, N.W., 12th Floor, Washington, DC.  A preliminary agenda is attached.  If there are other issues that you would like us to include on the agenda, please contact Mary Podesta at 202-326-5826 or podesta@ici.org.             

 

As with prior meetings, we plan to include time for members to discuss reporting and compliance issues.  Please include those items in the space provided on the meeting response form.

 

Confirmed Speakers

Bill Evans, Attorney-Adviser, Department of the Treasury, will speak about auto-enrollment and diversification, and also about other forthcoming PPA implementation guidance.  Joe Canary, Deputy Director, Office of Regulations and Interpretations, Department of Labor, will also speak at the meeting about DOL projects.

 

February 11 Dinner

We will hold a dinner on the evening of Monday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Acadiana Restaurant in Washington, DC.  If you will be in town and would like to join us, please let us know by sending an email to bturner@ici.org or returning the attached form.
