TO: BROKER/DEALER ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 77-07 RE: BDAC MEETING NOTICE - FEBRUARY 6-7, 2008
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on Wednesday, February 6 and Thursday, February 7, 2008 at the offices of American Funds located at 14636 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. American Funds is approximately 25 miles (31 minutes estimated driving time) from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and a short 10-minute walk from the Westin Hotel. The meetings will take place in the Arizona Room, which is located on the first floor directly behind the reception desk. On Wednesday, February 6, lunch will be served at 12:00 noon, the meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m. On Thursday, February 7, the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Continental breakfast will be provided beginning at 8:15 a.m., lunch will be served at noon, and the meeting is expected to end at 2:00 p.m. Attire for the meetings is business casual.
Hotel Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa located at 6902 East Greenway Parkway, Scottsdale, AZ 85254 for the evenings of February 5th and 6th at a rate of $ 285.00 per night. To make reservations, please call the hotel at (480) 624-1000 and indicate that you are an Investment Company Institute meeting attendee. Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited. All reservations must be guaranteed by January 6, 2007 to receive the block room rate. Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid penalty.
Committee Dinner
The Committee dinner will be held on the evening of Wednesday, February 6th at Mastro’s Ocean Club (http://www.azeats.com/Mastros/) located at 15045 N. Kierland Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. The restaurant is a short walk across the street from the Westin. The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will follow at 6:30 p.m. There will be a cost of $85.00 for the dinner, which you will pay via Cvent at the time that you register for the dinner. Attire for the dinner is business casual.
Online Registration
We are pleased to inform you that we are now offering online registration using Cvent for ICI committee meetings and associated dinners. In addition, committee members (or their substitutes) electing to attend the committee dinner will pay a standard amount via credit card as part of the registration process.
