PENSION OPERATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 33-07 RE: REMINDER--JOINT PENSION AND PENSION OPERATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING, OCTOBER 25; SPEAKERS CONFIRMED

 

The joint meeting of the Pension and Pension Operations Advisory Committees is scheduled for Thursday, October 25, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time.  The meeting will take place in the David Silver Conference Room at the Institute’s offices located at 1401 H Street, N.W., 12th Floor, Washington, DC.  A preliminary agenda is attached.  If there are other issues that you would like us to include on the agenda, please contact Mary Podesta at 202-326-5826 or podesta@ici.org.

As with prior meetings, we plan to include time for members to discuss reporting and compliance issues.  Please include those items in the space provided on the meeting response form.

Confirmed Speakers

We are pleased to announce that William Bortz, Associate Benefits Tax Counsel, Department of the Treasury, will discuss the final 403(b) regulations.  Jon Breyfogle and Bill Sweetnam, attorneys at the Groom Law Group, will speak on legislative issues regarding 401(k) plan disclosure and fees.  Bob Doyle, Director of the Office of Regulations & Interpretations, Department of Labor, will be our luncheon speaker.

October 24, Dinner

We will hold a dinner on the evening of Wednesday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Il Mulino Restaurant in Washington, DC.  If you will be in town and would like to join us, please let us know by sending an email to bturner@ici.org or returning the attached form.
