As we previously informed you, at an upcoming meeting of the Institute’s Institutional Money Market Funds Advisory Committee, Institute staff and members will discuss developments affecting the fixed-income market and specifically certain asset-backed securities and collateralized debt obligations, their impact on money market funds, and related valuation and liquidity issues.  Other legal, regulatory and legislative issues affecting money market funds also will be discussed.  A draft agenda is attached.

Given the significance of these market developments to funds, we strongly encourage all members that manage money market funds to ensure that they are represented at this meeting.  The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 11, 2007 in the “Empire Complex” room on the 7th floor of the New York Marriott Marquis Times Square, 1535 Broadway, New York, New York.  The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time and should conclude no later than 2:30 p.m.  For purposes of this meeting, you do not have to be a member of the Committee.
