INDEPENDENT ACCOUNTANTS ADVISORY GROUP No. 4-07 RE: AGENDA FOR JUNE 7 ACCOUNTING/TREASURERS COMMITTEE MEETING

 

A draft agenda for the meeting of the Accounting/Treasurers Committee and the Independent Accountants Advisory Group on June 7, 2007 is attached.  The meeting will be held at the offices of the Investment Company Institute.  The Institute is located at 1401 H Street, NW in Washington, D.C.  The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. in the David Silver Conference Room.  Lunch will be served and the meeting should end no later than 1:00 p.m.

A member has requested that the Committee discuss Treasury International Capital (“TIC”) reports, which require certain entities to report certain securities holdings to the U.S. Treasury.  To facilitate discussion, you may wish to determine whether your organization is currently filing these reports. [1]  Please contact the undersigned if there are any additional issues you would like to discuss at the meeting.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit

Meeting attendees are eligible for approximately 3 hours of CPE credit (Taxation; Accounting/Auditing; and Specialized Knowledge and Applications). The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to NASBA, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN 37219-2417, www.nasba.org.
