[20487] October 16, 2006 TO: ACCOUNTING/TREASURERS COMMITTEE No. 14-06 INDEPENDENT ACCOUNTANTS ADVISORY GROUP No. 5-06 RE: ACCOUNTING/TREASURERS COMMITTEE MEETING - DECEMBER 7, 2006 A joint meeting of the Accounting/Treasurers Committee and the Independent Accountants Advisory Group has been scheduled for Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, NW, Washington, D.C. The meeting will be held in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th floor at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Light breakfast will be available prior to the meeting. The meeting is expected to conclude at approximately 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be served after the conclusion of the meeting. For your convenience, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza for the night of Wednesday, December 6 at the rate of $229. The Hamilton Crowne Plaza is located at 14th and K Streets, N.W. To make a reservation, please call the Hamilton Crowne Plaza at 800-236-9802 or 202-682-0111 by November 6 and ask for a room in the Investment Company Institute block of rooms. If you plan to attend the meeting, please complete the attached meeting response form and return it to Agnes Thomas by fax (202/326-8314) or let her know via email (agnes@ici.org) that you plan to attend. Please let us know whether you plan to attend the meeting by November 29. If you have any current issues, which you would like to place on the meeting agenda please call Greg Smith at 202/326-5851 or include them on the attached meeting response form. An agenda for the December 7 meeting will follow. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit Meeting attendees are eligible for approximately 3 hours of CPE credit (Taxation; Accounting/Auditing; and Specialized Knowledge and Applications). The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a 2 sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
