RE: NOTICE OF COMMITTEE MEETING - WEDNESDAY, NOV. 8, 2006
The next meeting of the Internal Audit Advisory Committee of the Investment Company
Institute has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 8th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the offices of
the ICI, 1401 H Street, NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC. No later than Friday, October 27th,
please let us know by email (sholly@ici.org) or by faxing the attached sheet whether you plan to
attend the meeting. To accommodate the new meeting format that is briefly discussed below, please
let us know the issues you would like to have discussed at the meeting,
THE NEW MEETING FORMAT
To increase the value of this meeting to Committee members and to make sure we address
those issues of greatest interest to attendees, the Institute would like each attendee to provide us at least
one question or issue that you would like to see discussed with your colleagues at the meeting.
Hopefully this revised format will provide you the opportunity to get your colleagues’ views on those
issues of concern/interest to you. In addition, if there are issues you would like to hear more about
from the ICI staff, please let us know that as well.
Based upon the Committee members’ responses to these requests, we will develop an agenda
tailored to the interests of the Committee. The success of this revised format is very much dependent
upon the attendees’ willingness to be active in setting the agenda! Accordingly, we strongly encourage
you to be active participants in the process. At the meeting, we will also discuss members’ views of the
revised format.
I look forward to receiving your discussion issues, and I hope to see you at the upcoming
meeting.
