[20384] September 20, 2006 TO: TAX COMMITTEE No. 32-06 RE: PROPOSED REGULATIONS ELIMINATING PER-COUNTRY REPORTING - CONFERENCE CALL SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 AT 2:00 PM EDT A conference call has been scheduled for Friday, September 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. EDT to discuss the recently-issued proposed regulations eliminating country-by-country reporting to shareholders of foreign source income and foreign taxes paid.1 In particular, we would like to discuss the date by which you would need to know that you could rely upon the proposed regulations (before finalization) for 2006 reporting to shareholders. We also will discuss clarifications needed (if any) for implementing the proposed regulations.
