RE: OCTOBER BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEETING
The first meeting of the Board of Governors for Fiscal Year 2007 is scheduled for Friday, October 6,
2006 at 9:30 a.m. at the Institute’s office in Washington. The meeting is expected to end no later than
2:00 p.m. As in previous year, we will be organizing informal breakfast discussion groups for Governors
on Friday morning prior to the start of the meeting. I am pleased to advise that SEC Division Director
Buddy Donohue will be meeting with the Board that morning.
To assist you with planning your travel, a preliminary schedule of events is attached. Please make a
special note of the candidate fundraiser and the Board reception and dinner following the Executive
Committee meeting on Thursday.

September 13, 2006. Be sure to mention that you are calling as part of the ICI room block in order to
receive the group rate. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival date to
avoid financial penalty. Please make your room reservations as soon as possible as there is a heavy
demand for hotel rooms in Washington during this time of year.
