RE: GMM WEEK INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE MEETINGS -- MAY 16 AND 17, 2006
The next meeting of the International Committee will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at
1:00 p.m. in the Institute’s David Silver Conference Room (DSCR), 1401 H Street, NW, 12th Floor,
Washington, DC. In conjunction with that meeting, there will be a number of other meetings during
GMM week to which we invite members of the International Committee and International Investing
Subcommittee. A schedule of events for the week and the preliminary agendas for the meetings are
attached.
First, members are invited to participate in the Institute’s International Operations Advisory
Committee meeting, which begins at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2006. (As you know, the IOAC’s
primary focus is the standardization and automation of clearance and settlement procedures for mutual
fund capital share transactions worldwide.) The International Committee and IOAC will then have a
joint lunch, followed by the International Committee meeting.
As in years past, we also will be hosting a dinner at on May 16 for International Committee
members and international guests to the Institute’s General Membership Meeting. The dinner will be
held at Morton’s Steakhouse, 1050 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Cocktails will be
served at 6:30 p.m., and dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Finally, on the next day, Wednesday, May 17, 2006, there will be a joint meeting of the ICI
International Committee and the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA). The
meeting, in the Institute’s DSCR, will begin at 8:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served prior to the meeting
and lunch will follow.
All International Committee and International Investing Subcommittee members are
encouraged to attend these events. Please complete and return the attached response form by May
4, 2006.

We also hope you will consider attending the Institute’s General Membership Meeting, which
will be held at the Washington Hilton Hotel, May 17-19. The first session of GMM begins at 3:00
p.m. on May 17. The GMM program and registration form are available on the Institute’s conference
