[19606] January 17, 2006 TO: RISK MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 1-06 RE: COMMITTEE MISSION STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES; SURVEY; NEXT MEETING TO BE HELD ON FEB. 15TH BY CONFERENCE CALL At the November 2005 inaugural meeting of the Institute’s newly created Risk Management Advisory Committee, the Institute staff was charged with: • Developing a mission statement and objectives for the Committee; • Providing information to the members regarding the Institute’s other committees and their areas of responsibility; • Surveying the Committee’s members to determine their areas of risk responsibilities within their firms; and • Scheduling the next meeting of the Committee, which would be held by conference call. Since the November meeting, the Institute’s staff has worked with the co-chairs of the Committee, David Martin and Ken Winston, to accomplish each of these tasks. Accordingly, attached please find a copy of the Committee’s mission statement and information about the Institute’s other committees. SURVEY OF RMAC MEMBERS Consistent with the third bullet above, also attached is a survey for the Committee’s members to complete to provide the Institute more information about each member’s risk management responsibilities. Please print out this survey and fax the completed survey to the undersigned at 202-326-5839 no later than Friday, January 27, 2005. (This will enable us to present the results at the next Committee meeting.) COMMITTEE MEETING SCHEDULED The next meeting of the Committee, which will be held by conference call, has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 15 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time).
