RE: BDAC REVISED 2006 MEETING SCHEDULE & JANUARY 18-19, 2006 MEETING
NOTICE
The Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee 2006 meeting schedule has been finalized.
Please note the dates have been changed for the January meeting and the location has been
changed for the March meeting. Scheduled meeting dates are as follows:
January 18-19 - Merrill Lynch, Jacksonville, FL
March 22-23 - American Funds, Indianapolis, IN
May 16-17 - ICI (prior to GMM), Washington, DC
July 26-27 - Piper Jaffray, Minneapolis, MN
October 8 - ICI Operations & Technology Conference, Huntington Beach, CA
Further details regarding each meeting will be sent to you approximately 4-6 weeks
prior to the scheduled meeting date.
JANUARY 18-19, 2006 MEETING
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will take place on
Wednesday, January 18 and Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Merrill Lynch located at 4800 Deer
Lake Drive East, Jacksonville, FL. Both meetings will be held in Building 1 - Training Rooms
101, 102 & 103. On Wednesday, January 18 lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. and the meeting
will begin at 1:00 pm and conclude at 5:00 p.m. On Thursday, January 19 continental breakfast
will be available at 8:15 a.m. and the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be served at
noon and the meeting is expected to conclude by 3:00 p.m. Attire for the meetings is business
casual.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort &
Spa for the nights of January 17 and 18 at the rate of $199 single or double plus tax. To make
reservations please call 904/285-7777 or 800/457-4653 and ask for a room in the Investment
Company Institute block. Reservations must be made by December 16th to secure the room

rate of $199. Cancellations must be made within 24 hours prior to your day of arrival to avoid
penalty.
The Sawgrass Marriott is located at 1000 PGA Tour Boulevard, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
32082. It is approximately 35 miles or 50 minutes by car/cab from the Jacksonville Airport and is
approximately 15 miles or 25 minutes by car/cab to Merrill Lynch. Click this link

COMMITTEE DINNER ON JANUARY 18
A committee dinner will be held the evening of January 18th. More information about the
dinner will be sent to you prior to the meeting. All participants will be billed for their portion of
the dinner. Please note that if you confirm attendance for the BDAC dinner and cancel within 48 hours
of the scheduled event, you will still be charged for your portion of the pre-arranged event.
AGENDA & RESPONSE FORM
We need to get your input on “shop talk” discussion items and agenda topics for the
meeting. Please use the attached form to list your ideas and suggestions or e-mail Kathy
Joaquin (kjoaquin@ici.org) or Nino Palermo (Nino_Palermo@capgroup.com). Our experience
indicates that if topics are circulated in advance, the value of the discussion is considerably
enhanced. A preliminary agenda and shop talk discussion topics will be circulated to the
committee approximately two weeks before the meeting.
A meeting response form is attached. Please complete the form and indicate whether or
not you or a representative of your firm will be attending the committee meetings on January 18
and 19 and the committee dinner on January 18. Kindly email or fax the completed form to
