[19277] October 20, 2005 TO: ACCOUNTING/TREASURERS COMMITTEE No. 17-05 INDEPENDENT ACCOUNTANTS ADVISORY GROUP No. 5-05 RE: ACCOUNTING/TREASURERS COMMITTEE MEETING - DECEMBER 8, 2005 A joint meeting of the Accounting/Treasurers Committee and the Independent Accountants Advisory Group has been scheduled for Thursday, December 8, 2005 at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, NW, Washington, D.C. The meeting will be held in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th floor at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Lunch will be served and the meeting is expected to continue until approximately 1:00 p.m. For your convenience, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn for the night of Wednesday, December 7 at the rate of $219. The Hilton Garden Inn is located at 815 14th Street, N.W. To make a reservation, please call the Hilton Garden Inn at 877-782-9444 by November 17 and ask for a room in the Investment Company Institute block of rooms. If you plan to attend the meeting, please complete the attached meeting response form and return it to Agnes Thomas by fax (202/326-8314) or let her know via email (agnes@ici.org) that you plan to attend. Please let us know whether you plan to attend the meeting by November 30. If you have any current issues, which you would like to place on the meeting agenda please call Greg Smith at 202/326-5851 or include them on the attached meeting response form. An agenda for the December 8 meeting will follow. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit Meeting attendees are eligible for approximately 3 hours of CPE credit (Taxation; Accounting/Auditing; and Specialized Knowledge and Applications). The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
