[19247] October 13, 2005 TO: SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 54-05 RE: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND DRAFT AGENDA FOR OCTOBER 26TH SEC RULES AND COMMITTEE MEETING As previously indicated, the next meeting of the SEC Rules Committee will take place on Wednesday, October 26th at the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th Floor. The meeting will begin at 9:00 am (Eastern time) and end at approximately 3:00 pm. A schedule of events with additional details about the meeting is attached. Also attached is the draft agenda for the afternoon portion of the meeting. We are pleased to announce that John Walsh, Associate Director - Chief Counsel in the SEC’s Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations, will speak at the meeting on Wednesday morning. In addition, Dean Sackett of the Institute’s Government Affairs Department will give a Capitol Hill update during lunch. Committee Dinner The committee dinner will be held at The Caucus Room, 401 9th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, October 25th, beginning with a wine reception at 6:30 p.m. Please note that the committee dinner is filled to capacity; however, if you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please indicate it on the attached response form.
