[18909] June 1, 2005 TO: SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 37-05 RE: SEC SPEAKER AND DRAFT AGENDA FOR JUNE 15TH SEC RULES COMMITTEE MEETING AND LOS ANGELES AND CHICAGO VIDEOCONFERENCES We are pleased to announce that Linda Chatman Thomsen, the new Director of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, will attend the beginning of the SEC Rules Committee meeting on Wednesday, June 15th. She will discuss current and anticipated SEC enforcement issues impacting funds and investment advisers and will respond to questions. If there are any particular issues or questions you would like Ms. Thomsen to address, please list them on the attached response form. Attached is the draft agenda for the meeting. The meeting will be held at 12:00 Noon Eastern time in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th floor at the Institute. Lunch will be available beginning at 11:45 a.m. In addition, participation by videoconference will be available from two locations: Capital Research and Management Company Nuveen Investments 333 S. Hope Street, 50th Floor 333 W. Wacker Drive, 34th Floor Los Angeles, CA Chicago, IL 9:00 a.m. Pacific time 11:00 a.m. Central time Lunch will be served following the meeting in Los Angeles and during the meeting in Chicago. If you have not already done so, please indicate on the attached response form whether you or an alternate will attend the meeting in Washington, D.C. or by videoconference from California or Chicago.
