RE: FEBRUARY 24 CONFERENCE CALL TO DISCUSS DRAFT COMMENT LETTER
REGARDING CIRCULAR 230
A conference call has been scheduled for Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. EDT
to discuss the attached draft comment letter regarding the proposed regulations under Circular
230, which, among other things, sets forth standards for tax shelter opinions. The draft letter
includes member comments discussed during our January 25, 2005 conference call. The
deadline for submitting comments on the proposed regulations to Treasury is March 1, 2005. A
public hearing is scheduled for March 22, 2005.
