| Print
April 19, 1990 TO: STATE SECURITIES MEMBERS NO. 11-90 UNIT INVESTMENT TRUST MEMBERS NO. 22-90 RE: NEW HAMPSHIRE AMENDS LEGEND REQUIREMENT __________________________________________________________ As we previously informed you, New Hampshire enacted legislation, effective January 1, 1990 that required a non- uniform legend to be included on the cover page of every prospectus of public offerings, including mutual funds and unit trusts, offered in New Hampshire. (See Memorandum to State Securities Members No. 32-89, Unit Investment Trust Members No. 48-89, dated September 26, 1989.) We are pleased to inform you that as a result of the Institute's efforts, legislation amending the legend requirement has been enacted, effective April 13, 1990. The amendment provides that the legend approved by the North American Securities Administrators Association, Inc. ("NASAA") shall be included in the prospectus of public offerings. The NASAA legend is as follows: THESE SECURITIES HAVE NOT BEEN APPROVED OR DISAPPROVED BY THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION OR ANY STATE SECURITIES COMMISSION NOR HAS THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION OR ANY STATE SECURITIES COMMISSION PASSED UPON THE ACCURACY OR ADEQUACY OF THIS PROSPECTUS. ANY REPRESENTATION TO THE CONTRARY IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE. A copy of New Hampshire House Bill No. 1106 is attached. Patricia Louie Assistant General Counsel Attachments
