RE: NOTICE OF MEETING OCTOBER 12, 2004 AND NOTICE OF NEW COMMITTEE
PROCEDURE
The International Committee will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, October 12, 2004
beginning at 1:00 PM Eastern time and 10:00 AM Pacific time. Committee members may
participate in person in either Washington, D.C. or San Mateo, CA or by phone. Lunch will be
available in Washington prior to the meeting and in California after the meeting.

Participation by phone represents a new policy for committee meetings. We have
instituted the new policy, on a trial basis, to enable members who are traveling or located
abroad to participate in the meetings. We continue to encourage all committee members
located in the US to attend committee meetings in person if at all possible to facilitate the fullest
possible discussion of the matters on the meeting agenda. Also, as in the past, there will not be
videoconferencing or teleconferencing for the committee and ICI-FEFSI meetings that are held
in May during GMM.
A preliminary agenda for the meeting will be distributed shortly. If you have any
suggestions for the agenda please let Institute staff know promptly.
