RE: MARK YOUR CALENDAR - ASIA CONFERENCE (JANUARY 10-12, 2005)
The Institute’s third Asia Conference will be held January 10-12, 2005, in Hong Kong.
This conference is intended to bring together senior industry executives, lawyers, and
accountants from around the world for an in-depth study of current issues facing money
management firms in Asia. The conference will include regulator and industry panels
exploring the regulatory implications of globalization of the fund industry as well as panels on
the pension systems in Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. Panels also will focus on the future
of the fund market in Japan and China, trends in corporate governance in Asia, and challenges
in investing in various markets.
The conference also will feature two concurrent sessions and breakfast discussion
sessions focusing on Australia, India, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. A preliminary
program and registration form will be mailed in the next few weeks. In the meantime, mark
your calendar for January 10-12.
