RE: NOTICE OF MEETING - WEDNESDAY, MAY 9, 1990

A meeting of the Board of Governors has been scheduled
for Wednesday, May 9, 1990, commencing with a luncheon at 1:00
pm in the Farragut/Lafayette Room located on the Independence
Ballroom Level 5-B at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, 1000 H Street, NW,
Washington, DC. The formal Board meeting will commence at 2:30
pm in Independence Rooms D & E. The meeting will last until
about 5:00 pm.
This meeting is scheduled in conjunction with the annual
General Membership Meeting, which is also being held at the
Grand Hyatt Hotel. A special Presidential Reception for foreign
mutual fund representatives will commence at 5:30 pm and the
General Membership Meeting opening reception will begin at 6:30
pm following the Board meeting.
I hope you will make every effort to attend this important
meeting of the Board of Governors and that you will plan, also to
attend as much of the General Membership Meeting as your schedule
allows.
