| Print
[16857] December 9, 2003 TO: EQUITY MARKETS ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 38-03 RE: CINCINNATI STOCK EXCHANGE CHANGES NAME TO NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE The SEC has published for comment, and at the same time granted immediate effectiveness to, a proposed rule change filed by the Cincinnati Stock Exchange to change its name to the National Stock Exchange.1 In particular, the Release states that because orders and quotations are now sent to the Exchange from all over the country, and the Exchange trades securities listed in the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market, Exchange members and its Board of Trustees have determined that the name of the Exchange be changed to the National Stock Exchange. The Release notes that the filing reflects a name change only and does not affect the manner of the Exchange’s operations and governance structure.
