There will be a conference call Thursday, November 13, 2003 at 2:00 pm (Eastern) to
discuss issues related to the calculation and reporting of qualified dividend income (QDI).
Attached are several examples using different fact patterns to highlight issues related to the
calculation and reporting of QDI under the methods discussed at the recent Tax Committee
meeting. In addition, there are three examples illustrating issues related to the calculation of
QDI in a multi-class structure. We hope you will have time before the call to work through
these examples, because we intend to use them as a basis for discussion during the conference
call.
