RE: JULY 9 CONFERENCE CALL TO DISCUSS CALIFORNIA 403(B) VENDOR
REGISTRATION SYSTEM
A conference call has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 9 at 1:00 p.m. EST to discuss
the vendor registration system for 403(b) products offered to California teachers. Under
legislation enacted last year, the registration system will become effective July 1, 2004. The
California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) has established an Advisory Committee,
which includes vendor, employee and employer representatives, as part of its development of
the registration system. In connection with the Institute’s participation in the Advisory
Committee, we would like to discuss specific registration issues during the July 9 call.
If you would like to participate in this call, please complete the attached response form
and fax it to Brenda Turner by Tuesday, July 8, 2003. Please dial 1-888-625-1622 and ask for the
ICI “California 403(b)” call, with Kathy Ireland as the moderator. In addition, if there are
specific issues that you would like to discuss during the call, please list them on the response
