RE: MFQS EXTENSION TO ACCOMMODATE FUTURES/OPTIONS EXPIRATION - JUNE

The Institute has received notice that on Friday, June 20, 2003, NASDAQ will extend the
closing time for its Automated Confirmation Transaction Service (ACT) to 5:45 p.m. from the
normal 5:15 p.m. Furthermore, Nasdaq’s Mutual Fund Quotation Service (MFQS) will close at
6:15 p.m. rather than 5:55 p.m., on June 20, 2003. This change is being made to accommodate the
expiration of futures and options contracts and is not related to the Russell rebalance scheduled
for June 30, 2003.
