[16185] June 10, 2003 TO: TRANSFER AGENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 59-03 RE: MEETING NOTICE--JULY 16-17, 2003 The next meeting of the Transfer Agent Advisory Committee will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, July 16 and 17, 2003 in the David Silver Conference Room (12th floor) of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, NW, Washington, D.C. Our Wednesday afternoon session is scheduled from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and will be devoted exclusively to anti- money laundering issues, primarily focusing on the implementation of the Customer Identification Program rules. As with previous meetings, this will be a joint session with the ICI’s Anti-Money Laundering Rules Working Group and the Broker Dealer Advisory Committee. Our Thursday meeting will begin with “shop talk” discussion at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 2:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Committee Dinner The Committee dinner will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at The Oval Room, located at 800 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will follow at 7:00 p.m. All participants will be billed for their portion of the dinner. Attire for the dinner is business casual. Please note that if you confirm attendance for the TAAC dinner and cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled event, you will still be charged for your portion of the pre-arranged dinner. Hotel Accommodations A block of rooms at the J. W. Marriott, Washington, D.C., located at 1331 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, D.C., has been reserved for the evening of July 16th at a rate of $179.00 standard single/double. To make reservations, please call the hotel at (202) 393-2000 and ask for a room in the Investment Company Institute-Transfer Agent Advisory Committee Meeting room block. PLEASE MAKE YOUR HOTEL RESERVATIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS ROOMS ARE LIMITED. All reservations must be guaranteed by either a valid credit card or one night’s deposit by June 23, 2003 to receive the room block rate. Reservations must be cancelled by 6:00 p.m. the day of arrival to avoid penalty. Agenda Items/Committee Projects We need to get your input on “shop talk” discussion items and agenda items for the meeting. Our experience indicates that if topics are circulated in advance, the value of the discussion is considerably enhanced. A preliminary agenda and shop talk discussion topics will be circulated to the committee approximately two weeks before the meeting.
