| Print
December 22, 1989 TO: STATE SECURITIES MEMBERS NO. 44-89 RE: SERIES FUND FEE CHANGE - ILLINOIS __________________________________________________________ The Institute has recently been advised that the Illinois Securities Department has amended Regulation 130.110 regarding payment of fees for series funds. Currently, Illinois requires payment of a $1,000 fee for each series fund. Effective December 30, 1989, a fee of $1,000 per series fund, plus $100 per portfolio, must be paid at the time of initial registration or renewal. If a portfolio appears in the registration statement, the portfolio must be registered in Illinois and a filing fee paid even though a particular portfolio may not be sold in Illinois. If a portfolio(s) is(are) added during the registration or renewal period, a single amendment filing fee of $100 must be submitted with Illinois Form 7D-7E. The Department has also requested that the current file number assigned by the Department (i.e., R89xxxxx) be included in any correspondence submitted to the Department. A copy of the pertinent provision of the amended regulations is attached. Patricia Louie Assistant General Counsel Attachment
