RE: MEETING NOTICE-MAY 21, 2003
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on May 21 at
the Washington Hilton Hotel and Towers in Washington, DC. The meeting will begin at 9:00
am and conclude by 3 pm. A continental breakfast will be available at 8:30 am and lunch will
be served at noon. The hotel is located at 1919 Connecticut Avenue, NW in Washington DC.
Business attire.
If you require overnight accommodations, please contact the reservations desk at 1-800-
445-8667 prior to the cutoff date of April 14. Please identify yourself as an Investment Company
Institute conference attendee to receive the single/double room rate of $207.
Luncheon Speaker
Our luncheon speaker is Diana Cantor, Executive Director of the Virginia College
Savings Plan, an independent state agency created by the Virginia General Assembly to help
families save for college. Ms. Cantor oversees the administration and operations of the state’s
529 college savings plans. She is also the chair of the Executive Board of the College Savings
Plan Network.
Reception and Dinner
On May 20, the BDAC pre-meeting event will be held on board the Spirit Elite Yacht
Cruise boat. The cruise will tour the Potomac River for three hours and will begin at 7:00 pm.
Reception and dinner will be included in the cruise. Round trip transportation will be provided
from the lobby of the Washington Hilton Hotel. Buses will leave promptly at 6:15 pm. If you
wish to participate in this event, we must receive your response no later than April 14. Business
casual attire.
BDAC Walkers
On May 21, the BDAC Walkers will meet in the Terrace Level Lobby of the Washington
Hilton Hotel for a 30-minute walk. Don’t forget to bring your sneakers or a comfortable pair of

shoes and join us for a walk through upper Connecticut Avenue and Embassy Row. The walk
begins promptly at 7:00 am.
General Membership Meeting
We hope that you will stay after the meeting to attend the ICI’s General Membership
Meeting; please let us know on the attached response form if you are attending and we will pick
up your badges for you. Badges will be handed out at the end of the BDAC meeting on May 21.
