RE: NOTICE OF MEETING - MAY 6, 2003
A meeting of the Equity Markets Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Tuesday,
May 6, 2003 at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W.,
Washington, D.C. The meeting will be held in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th
floor at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. SEC Commissioner Paul S. Atkins will be attending the
beginning of the meeting to discuss the Committee’s views on market structure. We anticipate
that the meeting will conclude by 5:30 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: For those of you attending the NOIP meeting in Washington, D.C. the
morning of May 6, there will be sufficient time after the conclusion of that meeting to walk over
to the Institute for the beginning of the Committee meeting.
If there is sufficient interest, the Institute also will be utilizing videoconferencing
technology at this meeting to facilitate participation in the meeting by Institute members who
are located in the western part of the country. Participation by videoconference would begin at
11:00 a.m. Pacific time.
Please indicate on the attached response form whether you or an alternate plan to attend
the meeting in Washington, D.C., or if you would be interested in participating in a
videoconference from California. In addition, please provide on the form below any items that
you would like to discuss at the meeting. A draft agenda will follow under separate cover.
