RE: MEETING NOTICE -- SEPTEMBER 19, 2002
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on Thursday,
September 19 at the New York Marriott Marquis located at 1535 Broadway in New York City.
A continental breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. Lunch
will be served at noon and the meeting is expected to conclude at 3:00 p.m.
ACCOMODATIONS AT THE MARRIOTT MARQUIS
If you require overnight accommodations, please contact the New York Marriott
Marquis at 212-930-1100 or call 1-800-843-4898. The room rate is $239 single/double.
Cancellations must be made by 6:00 p.m. the day of arrival to avoid penalty. Please be sure to
mention that you are attending an Investment Company Institute (ICI) Broker/Dealer Advisory
Committee function. You must make your reservations no later than August 19 to receive this
discounted rate.
BDAC DINNER – SEPTEMBER 18
On September 18, there will be a reception for committee members at the Marriott
Marquis on the Upper Promenade from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Following the reception, committee
members will be given the option of participating in a dine-around at two local restaurants.
Please indicate your preference on the attached response form.
BDAC WALKERS – SEPTEMBER 19
On September 19, all BDAC meeting attendees are invited to participate in a walk for
approximately 30 minutes. The walk will begin promptly at 7:00 a.m. from the lobby of the
Marriott. Please indicate whether or not you will be participating on the attached response
form.
MEETING ATTENDANCE
Please complete the attached meeting response form and indicate whether or not you or
a representative of your firm will be attending the September 19 meeting and other meeting

events. Several weeks prior to the meeting, attendees will receive a package containing
attendee lists, a summary of discussion points and supporting documentation for the agenda
topics.

ATTIRE
Attire for the meeting and dinner is business casual.
As some of you may recall, our meeting location and restaurants are identical to those
we selected for the September 20, 2001 meeting that was cancelled due to the tragic events of
September 11. When we cancelled, the Marriott Marquis, Cite and Carmines were very
gracious and understanding and as a show of support we once again included them in our
meeting plans.
