ACTION REQUESTED [14678] April 26, 2002 TO: INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE No. 33-02 RE: MARK YOUR CALENDAR -- GMM WEEK INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE MEETINGS MAY 21 AND 22, 2002 The next meeting of the International Committee will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. in the Institute’s David Silver Conference Room, 1401 H Street, NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC. A preliminary agenda for the meeting will be circulated to the Committee in a few weeks. Please complete and return the attached response form by May 10, 2002. In addition to other agenda items, Joseph Engelhard, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Trade and Investment Policy at the Department of the Treasury will join us as a guest speaker to hear from members the asset management industry’s priorities for the upcoming trade negotiations. We also will be hosting a dinner on Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. (cocktails at 6:30 p.m.) for International Committee members and international guests to the Institute’s general membership meeting. The dinner will be held at 1789, 1226 36th Street, NW, Washington, DC. As in years past, our European colleagues will once again be joining us for a meeting with the International Committee on Wednesday, May 22, 2002. The meeting, also being held in the Institute’s David Silver Conference Room, will begin at 8:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served prior to the meeting and lunch will follow. All International Committee members are encouraged to attend these events. To assist you in planning your travel, the Institute has arranged for discount airfare to be available through US Airways.
