RE: PRELIMINARY AGENDA -- MAY 1, 2002 MEETING
The next meeting of the Institute’s International Operations Advisory Committee will be
held on Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at The Fairmont Southampton Princess following the close of
the IBA/ICI Globalisation of Mutual Funds Conference in Bermuda. The meeting room
location will be emailed to you within the next week. A buffet lunch will be served from 11:45
a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The meeting will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. and is expected to
conclude at approximately 5:00 p.m.
Attached is the preliminary agenda. We are pleased to be hosting three guest speakers
for the committee. Inge Billiau, Manager - Sales and Relationship Management for Euroclear
Bank will be presenting “FundSettle: Cornerstone of A Pan European Solution.” Next, Craig
Dudsak, Executive Director Product Development, Custody Clearing and Settlement for
Clearstream Banking, will be presenting “Towards STP in the Investment Funds Industry.”
Finally, Peter Marshall, Vice President – International Operations, James Kiernan, Director, and
Barbara Simon, Director for DTCC, will be presenting “The Challenge of Cross Border Funds
Markets – How to Increase Efficiency, Reduce Cost and Reduce Risk.”
There will be a Committee dinner on Wednesday, May 1st at the Waterloo House, 100
Pitts Bay Road (Hamilton Parish), Pembroke, Bermuda (phone: 441/295-4480). Dinner
attendees will meet in the front of the hotel lobby at 6:00 p.m. Transportation will be provided
to and from the restaurant. A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will follow at 7:00
p.m. The Institute’s policy is to bill individual committee members who choose to attend for
their portion of the dinner. Attire for the dinner is business casual.
