RE: MARK YOUR CALENDAR - ASIA CONFERENCE (NOVEMBER 12-14, 2002)
The Institute’s second biannual Asia Conference will be held November 12-14, 2002 at
the Ritz Carlton in Singapore. This conference is intended to bring together senior industry
executives, lawyers, and accountants from around the world for an in-depth study of current
issues facing money management firms in Asia. The conference will include regulator and
industry panels exploring the regulatory implications of globalization of the fund industry as
well as panels on the pension systems in Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore, and panels focusing
on Japan and China and the mutual fund markets of Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.
We also expect to hold breakfast discussion sessions focusing on Australia, Hong Kong, India,
Singapore, Korea, and Taiwan.
A preliminary program and registration form will be mailed this spring. In the
meantime, mark your calendar for November 12-14.
