RE: 2002 GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS MATERIALS
Among its responsibilities, the Institute’s Legislative Affairs Department provides
regular information about congressional and Administration initiatives that affect the
investment management industry. Throughout the year you will receive materials related to
this effort:
• Federal Legislation Memoranda. The Legislative Affairs Department sends
regular memos reporting on significant legislative developments and Institute
actions of concern to members.
• Washington Update. The Legislative Affairs Department produces a newsletter
that informs members about the Institute’s Government Affairs agenda. (We
expect this newsletter to be available electronically sometime in 2002.)
• Legislative Alerts. Occasionally Institute members will be asked in these alerts to
assist the Institute by contacting Members of Congress on critical industry
initiatives.
Attached you will find an index of memoranda sent to Institute members in 2001. We
hope these items will be useful to you and are consistent with the Institute’s ongoing efforts to
provide helpful and informative services. Although you may have previously received a binder
to store these materials, binders will no longer be provided.
