RE: FINAL PROGRAM FOR THE MONEY LAUNDERING COMPLIANCE FOR MUTUAL
FUNDS CONFERENCE
The Investment Company Institute has scheduled a Money Laundering Compliance Conference
for Tuesday, February 5, 2002, at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. This conference will focus
on the impact of the recently enacted International Money Laundering Abatement and Anti-Terrorist
Financing Act of 2001 on mutual fund complexes. Enclosed is the conference program.
To register for the conference, please return the registration form and the appropriate fee to the
Institute’s Conference Division. The registration deadline is January 22, 2002. Conference registration
cancellations received before January 29, 2002 will be subject to a $150 administrative fee. To ensure
the preferred room rate of $179 plus tax (single/double), please make your reservation no later than
January 7, 2002. Please note the group rate cannot be guaranteed after the cut-off date. If you wish to
make hotel reservations now, you may call The Mayflower Hotel at 1-800-HOTELS-1 or 202/347-3000.
When making your reservation, be sure to mention that you will be attending the Investment Company
Institute’s conference.
Discount airfare is available through US Airways. Please call 877/874-7687, 8:00 am – 9:30 pm,

airfare is available three days prior to and after the conference dates.
The Institute has also negotiated discounted car rates through Avis. To obtain the discount
