Enclosed is our agenda for the Research Committee meeting of
October 3, 1989. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Madison
Hotel, corner of 15th and M Street in Washington, D.C. We plan
to adjourn at 3:30 p.m.
The meeting will include a presentation by Dr. Mathew Greenwald
on demographic trends. Dr. Greenwald is a well known researcher
on this topic and has published several articles. His talk
should stimulate discussion of the effect of changing trends on
financial services and will prepare us for a discussion by the
Committee of our planned research project on attitudes to money
management of baby boomers and individuals in pre-retirement
years.
You will also find enclosed an invitation to attend a special
Research Committee dinner on the evening of October 2, on the
occasion of Don Farrar's retirement as Committee Chairman. We
hope that you will be able to organize your travel plans so that
you can attend this dinner. You will be telephoned for
confirmation of attendance during the week of September 25.
