PENSION COMMITTEE MEETING AND RESCHEDULED PENSION OPERATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING - OCTOBER 23, 2001

[13980] September 26, 2001 TO: PENSION COMMITTEE No. 64-01 PENSION OPERATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 59-01 RE: PENSION COMMITTEE MEETING AND RESCHEDULED PENSION OPERATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING - OCTOBER 23, 2001 A joint meeting of the Pension Committee and the Pension Operations Advisory Committee will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at the Institute’s Offices, 1401 H Street, N.W., 12th Floor, Washington, D.C. (near the McPherson Square Metro stop). As you may be aware, the Pension Operations Advisory Committee meeting, which had been scheduled on September 11th, was cancelled due to the tragic events that took place that day; thus, we have combined that committee meeting with the October 23rd meeting of the Pension Committee. Please indicate on the attached response form whether you intend to participate. Option to Participate by Phone. For purposes of the October 23rd meeting, members unable to attend in person may participate by phone. Please indicate on the attached response form whether you would prefer to do so. Further information on the use of this option will be provided at a later date. Preference for Meeting Start Time. We are currently considering whether to begin the meeting at 11:00 a.m. EST, rather than 10:00 a.m., to provide for additional travel time (particularly for individuals flying into Washington Dulles Airport or Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airport) and to facilitate participation by phone for members on the West Coast. At your earliest convenience, please indicate in an email (to tkim@ici.org) or on the attached response form whether you would prefer to begin the meeting at 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. (We anticipate that the meeting will end at approximately 3:00 p.m.) We will inform you of the decision regarding this matter by next week. In addition, please provide any suggested agenda items for the meeting on the response form. A preliminary agenda will be provided at a later date.
