RE: INSTITUTE HOLDS INVESTMENT ADVISERS CONFERENCE

The Institute will hold its annual Investment Advisers
Conference on September 20-22, 1989 at the Century Plaza Hotel in
Los Angeles, California. The conference has been extremely
successful in past years and almost 500 people attended last
year's conference in New York City.
This year's conference will include panels concerning SEC
regulation, ERISA, marketing and international activities for
advisers, as well as a panel devoted entirely to procedures
investment advisers must establish to prevent insider trading.
The enclosed brochure gives more detail on each panel's
presentation. Please note that a generous question and answer
period is provided after each panel.
