RE: OCTOBER BOARD MEETING
The first meeting of the Board of Governors for Fiscal Year 2002 is scheduled for Friday,
October 5, 2001 at 9:30 am. The meeting is expected to end no later than 2:00 pm. Due to
expected protests related to the IMF/World Bank meetings taking place in Washington that
week, we have decided to hold the Board meetings and all related events at the Ritz-Carlton
Pentagon City, located just outside of Washington (5 minutes from National Airport).
To assist you with scheduling, a preliminary schedule of events is enclosed. Please
make a special note of the reception and dinner for the Board at 6:30 pm on Thursday and the
multi-candidate fundraising breakfast on Friday morning.

Standard rooms are available for $299.00 per night. To ensure that you receive the
preferred room rate, please make your reservations before September 7th and mention that you
are attending an ICI meeting. Please note that there is an unusually heavy demand for hotel
rooms in and around Washington during this period due to the IMF/World Bank meetings.
Therefore, please secure room reservations as soon as possible.
Please return the completed response form via fax to indicate whether or not you will be
attending the October events.
