RE: ESTABLISHMENT OF VARIABLE INSURANCE PRODUCTS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
As discussed at the last SEC Rules Committee meeting, the Institute is establishing a
new advisory committee, the Variable Insurance Products Advisory Committee, to address
issues affecting the funding vehicles underlying variable life insurance and variable annuity
products. If you or someone from your firm is interested in participating on the Committee,

aburstein@ici.org, if you have not done so already.
We plan to hold the first meeting of the Committee in early fall. We will send out a
notice shortly announcing the date and time of the meeting.
