RE: NOTICE OF TWO-DAY MEETING - SEPTEMBER 26-27, 1989

This is to confirm the two-day meeting of the Broker/Dealer
Advisory Committee on Tuesday, September 26 and Wednesday, September
27, 1989. The meetings will be held on the 9th Floor of The Kemper
Service Company which is located at 811 Main Street, Kansas City,
Missouri 64105. Continental breakfast and lunch will be served on
both days.
Please do not invite outside vendors to this two-day meeting as
the sessions are open only to ICI member firms represented on the
committee, NSCC and DTC.
For your convenience, we have booked sleeping rooms at the
Kansas City Marriott Plaza for the nights of September 25 and 26 at
the rate of $99.00 per night. To make hotel reservations, please
call the Kansas City Marriott at 816/531-3000 or 1-800-228-9290 no
later than Monday, September 11, 1989 and tell them you want a room
in the Kemper/ICI Block. The hotel is located at 4445 Main Street,
Kansas City, MO 64111.
We want to invite you to join us for a cocktail reception and
dinner on the evening of Tuesday, September 26. Details about the
dinner have not yet been finalized but we will give you the necessary
information on the place and time in a follow-up memo. We wish to
remind you that all reception/dinner attendees will be billed later
for their share of the total bill for this event and that the hotel
or restaurant will charge us based on the guaranteed count we must
give them one week in advance of this function. Accordingly, if you
have indicated that you will attend but change your plans, you must
let us know in advance as we (and you) will be billed.
Anyone interested in a golf outing on Monday, September 25 (the
day before the meeting) should call Nancee Koporc of Kemper at
816/292-6234. Location: Deer Creek Golf Course. Informal cocktail
reception follows.
In order that we know exactly who will be attending this two-day
meeting and dinner, we ask that you complete the attached green form
and return it to Rita Pemberton at the Institute by September 11,
1989. Or, if you prefer, please call Rita at 202/955-3551 by
September 11.
An agenda and more detailed information regarding the times,
etc. will be sent shortly.
