August 21, 1989 TO: NO-LOAD (FUND/SERV) ADVISORY COMMITTEE NO. 1-89 RE: NOTICE OF MEETING - SEPTEMBER 12, 1989 ________________________________________________________ This is to inform you that the Investment Company Institute will hold its first meeting of the new No-Load (Fund/SERV) Advisory Committee on Tuesday, September 12, 1989 in the Executive Chamber on the Second Floor of The Madison Hotel which is located at 15th and M Streets, N.W., Washington, D.C. The Committee is a continuation of the Depository Trust Company's User Advisory Committee on Mutual Funds. The Committee membership will continue to emphasize participation by no-load organizations, bank trust departments and certain broker-dealer organizations who have requested to participate. In addition, we will solicit membership on the Committee from other broker/dealers and financial planners. I am pleased that Mr. Mark Rayford of the T. Rowe Price organization has agreed to be the Chairman of the Committee. The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. and is expected to continue through lunch. For your convenience, we have booked a block of sleeping rooms at The Madison Hotel for the night of Monday, September 11 at a rate of $145.00 per night. To make a room reservation, you must call The Madison at 202/862-1600 no later than Monday, August 28, 1989. Ask for a room in the Investment Company Institute Block.
