RE: Conference on Saving

As part of the Institute's effort to stimulate a
constructive public policy response to the nation's capital
formation needs, we are helping to underwrite--along with more
than two dozen other organizations--a national conference on
saving being sponsored by the American Council for Capital
Formation's Center for Policy Research.
In addition to co-sponsoring the conference, the Institute
helped to design its program. As a result of our suggestions,
one of the sessions will be devoted to exploring the options for
stimulating personal savings. Dr. Jacob Dreyer, Vice President
and Chief Economist of the Institute, is a participant in this
program, a copy of which is attached.
