RE: MEETING NOTICE - MAY 16, 2001
The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on May 16 at
the Washington Hilton Hotel and Towers in Washington, DC in the Monroe Room (Concourse
Level). We will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude by 3:00 p.m. The hotel is located at 1919
Connecticut Avenue, NW.
If you require overnight accommodations, please contact the reservations desk at the
Washington Hilton at 202/797-5820 or 888-DC-HILTON. Room rates are $197 for a
single/double in the main building and $229 for a single/double in the towers. Please be sure to
mention that you are attending an Investment Company Institute (ICI) function.
Reception and Dinner
Please note there will be reception for BDAC members on Tuesday, May 15 at the
Washington Hilton Hotel from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Dupont Room on the Terrace Level.
Following that, members can participate in a “dine-around” at four local restaurants (within
walking distance to the Hilton) by signing up on the attached meeting response form. Please
indicate your selection in order of priority (1, 2, 3, 4) and we will fill preferences on a first come,
first served basis.
BDAC Walkers
On May 16, the BDAC Walkers will meet in the Terrace Level Lobby of the Washington
Hilton Hotel for a 45-minute walk. Don’t forget to bring your sneakers or a comfortable pair of
shoes and join us for a walk through upper Connecticut Avenue and Embassy Row. The walk
begins promptly at 7:00 a.m.
Meeting Agenda
We wish to thank the BDAC Meeting Agenda Task Force members for their efforts in
planning the agenda and committee activities. Our thanks to John Bauer (Piper Jaffray), Charles
Warner (Hilliard, Lyons), Marybeth Hayes (Liberty Funds), Marlene Mills (Evergreen), and Scott
Hawkins (DST) for their efforts! Attached is a preliminary agenda.
2Attire
Attire for the Tuesday, May 15 reception and dinner is business casual. Please note that
business attire is appropriate for the BDAC meeting on May 16.
General Membership Meeting
If you are attending the General Membership Meeting, please let us know on the
attached response form and we will pick up your badges for you so that you do not have to
register for GMM. Badges will be handed out at the end of the BDAC meeting on May 16.
