RE: SEC RELEASES AGENDA AND LIST OF PARTICIPANTS FOR DECIMALIZATION
ROUNDTABLE
The Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Market Regulation has released
an agenda and a list of confirmed participants (attached) for the decimalization roundtable to
held on December 11, 2000 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the SEC’s main offices, 450 Fifth Street,
N.W., Washington, D.C.
Topics to be discussed at the roundtable will include the impact of decimalization on: (1)
spreads, quotes and liquidity; (2) price priority; (3) order placement and trading strategies; and
(4) short sales. Participants will include representatives from the SEC, academics, SROs, market
participants from the sell side and buy side, ECNs, and vendors.
