[12704] October 3, 2000 TO: BOARD OF GOVERNORS No. 58-00 INVESTMENT COMPANY DIRECTORS No. 14-00 PRIMARY CONTACTS - MEMBER COMPLEX No. 68-00 SEC RULES COMMITTEE No. 119-00 RE: 2000 INVESTMENT COMPANY DIRECTORS CONFERENCE - FINAL PROGRAM The Investment Company Institute is holding its Seventh Annual Investment Company Directors Conference, November 1 – 3, 2000 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC and again on November 13 – 15, 2000 at The Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, CA. Enclosed are the final program and registration forms for each location. The conference will feature a varied program of industry experts, government officials and experienced fund directors sharing their perspectives on issues of interest and concern to the fund director community. Additionally, it will provide opportunities for fund directors to meet with their peers informally and in group discussions. As noted in the program, Evan Thomas will be the featured speaker following the Thursday evening dinner at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC, and Hugh Hewitt will be the featured speaker following the Tuesday evening dinner at the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica, CA. Attendance at both conferences is limited to 250 persons. The Institute requests that registrations be received by October 23rd for Washington, DC and November 3rd for Santa Monica, CA. All registrations will be confirmed by mail. Registration for both conferences includes a reception - Wednesday, November 1st in Washington, DC and Monday, November 13th in Santa Monica, CA.
