RE: OCTOBER 3RD PENSION COMMITTEE MEETING — FINAL AGENDA AND E-SIGN
MATERIALS
Attached is a final agenda for the Pension Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday,
October 3, 2000, at the Institute's offices at 1401 H Street, N.W., 12th Floor, Washington, DC (near
the McPherson Square Metro stop). The meeting will be held from 10:00 a.m. to approximately
3:00 p.m.; a continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
Also enclosed for your review are materials, prepared by outside counsel, on the
application of the Electronic Signatures legislation (“E-SIGN”) to qualified plans and IRAs. The
afternoon portion of the meeting will be dedicated to a discussion of the impact of E-SIGN on
retirement plans.
