RE: BANK & TRUST WORKSHOPS – MARK YOUR CALENDAR
The Institute will be hosting a series of one-day Bank & Trust Workshops in November
of this year in San Francisco, New York and Boston. The purpose of the workshops is to educate

other business tools designed to facilitate trust and defined contribution processing and reduce
associated costs and risks.
As indicated in the attached preliminary program, the workshop will cover trust
processing and provide a basic understanding of how trust accounts are processed from a bank,
service provider and mutual fund perspective. It will provide an overview of Depository Trust
and Clearing Corporation services such as Trust Fund/SERV, Networking and the Defined
Contribution Clearance and Settlement Service (DCC&S). The workshops will conclude with a
discussion of processing guidelines and agreements between funds, trusts and third party
recordkeepers.

Global Funds Services, Inc.; Denise Burton, Account Manager, The Depository Trust and
