This is an advance notice that the Fall Small Funds
Conference will be held on November 15-17, 1989 at the Hotel del
Coronado near San Diego, California. A more detailed memorandum
will follow shortly along with reservation and registration
forms. This notice is to let you know the dates and place so you
can mark your calendar.
While pleasant surroundings are nice, your attendance at
this meeting is important and will be useful for you and your
organization. Our industry is experiencing rapid and significant
changes in product development, distribution, and regulation.
The purpose of our meeting is to bring you important information
on these and other items affecting your business. Updates by the
ICI staff, along with lively discussions with your fellow
members, makes this a meeting you cannot afford to miss.
The Hotel del Coronado is located just 20 minutes from San
Diego International Airport and 15 minutes from downtown San
Diego. In addition to the two pool areas, the Hotel del Coronado
boasts three backdrops for outdoor activities: the lush and
tropical Garden Patio, the Promenade Deck, overlooking the
majestic Pacific, and the spacious, sandy beach. Pleasant, mild
weather permits outdoor day and evening activities almost the
year round.
The Hotel del Coronado provides an 18-hole championship
golf course (nearby), seven night-illuminated oceanside tennis
courts, men's and women's fitness centers and boat rentals.
Please note that hotel reservations cannot be made at this
time. As soon as we receive the reservation envelopes from the
del Coronado, we will make them available to you.
The meeting will begin on Thursday morning, November 16,
and will continue through lunch on Friday, November 17. The
conference fee for members is $65.00. In addition, there is a
$35.00 luncheon/dinner fee for spouses and guests.
As we stated earlier, no hotel reservations can be made yet
and we are not accepting conference registration fees at this
time; however, if you are interested in attending, please call
Rita Pemberton at the Institute (202/955-3551) so she can get the
forms to you when they become available.
